Founder & Director of Education
Steve Hoskinson is a pioneer at the intersection of mindfulness, empowerment and healing. In over three decades of teaching professional therapists in embodied trauma work, he has uncovered the essence of our organic impulse for self-healing and compassion. This is Organic Intelligence®.
Organic Intelligence (OI) is firstly a community of compassion where people grow their skill and abilities for kindness and justice. Secondly, OI is a method of personal, organic resilience. Steve often says, “Given the challenges of our day, we no longer have the luxury of burning out.” Here, helpers and people of compassion come to be abundantly resourced to meet today’s crises.
Thirdly, OI has emerged as a therapeutic method used by some of the most seasoned therapists and coaches around. At the forefront of integrating self-organizing systems, neuroscience and contemplative practice (and good humor), OI evokes the human potential for happiness, wisdom and energy. At the center of OI life is the multi-year therapeutic training sequence known as the OI Trajectory. Everyone of good will is invited to participate in the personal / professional experience of this exciting education.
Today, Steve finds great joy and inspiration in mentorship with OI elders & faculty, teaching in the OI Trajectory, organic gardening, and spending time together at their rural home with his wife Amber Thunell.
