What is Organic Intelligence?
Organic Intelligence® (OI™) brings a necessary shift in how we understand healing, change, and well-being. Grounded in compassion, complexity/systems science, positive reinforcement, meditative practice, and clinical psychology, this new paradigm is a step-by-step mapping of organic growth and healing, from trauma to post-traumatic growth (PTG).
Our experiences — images, sensations, thoughts, and feelings — emerge from our biology. Any healing or lasting change must happen there, in our biology — a complex system. Of course, this system already knows how to heal, and wants to grow and do more, and do better. Organic Intelligence teaches how to align with our biology’s primary, organic impulse toward healing — not to process trauma or the past, but to enhance processing capacity. With more bandwidth, we feel less overloaded, and more ourselves.
OI members often want to share their growth experience with others. For this, OI offers education for a successful coaching vocation. Organic Intelligence is available for therapists, coaches, and all who care about the world around them and want to share OI support for themselves, clients, and society.

How Does OI’s Post-Trauma Growth (PTG) Coaching Work?
OI-trained coaches and therapists understand the uniqueness of each client, and attune to help each person experience their own healing resources.
Organic Intelligence shows therapists and coaches that underneath trauma is a biology out of sync, but ready to heal — safely and naturally. OI Coaches are taught how biology-based emotional growth happens, and how to join with clients’ needs.
Together with your OI-trained coach or therapist, you will learn the surprising ways that your biology unveils its healing intent.
You have emerging biological resources meant for your healing that have been overlooked by traditional psychology. Your biology, a natural healer, reveals its healing intent in the ISOMA Channels: Images, Sensation, Orientation, Meaning, and Affect.
Your OI coach or therapist will work mindfully with you, and find where your biology is already sending you subtle post-trauma growth messages through images, sensation, thoughts, and feelings; your “postcards from home.” When the Post-Trauma Growth messages are received and amplified, the path of healing opens naturally.
OI coaches will show you how to naturally heal and move past even longstanding limitations, like procrastination, hopelessness or anxiety, and help you achieve post-traumatic growth.

What is Post-Traumatic Growth?
OI coaches are trained to turn PTSD, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, into Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). Research, like the ACEs study, shows that underneath anxiety, depression, panic and many physical symptoms lies trauma. Growth after trauma is not just “trauma-informed” or based in excavating past trauma.
OI coaches learn how complex systems, like our biology, heal and grow through positive reinforcement, support, and biological resynchronization.
OI therapists and coaches help clients advance along the Organic Intelligence post-traumatic growth trajectory by working more safely and more effectively with each badge level the coach earns.

Learning to work effectively in post-traumatic growth, without the risk of burnout or retraumatization is available in the OI Coach Certification (OICC) Program, OI’s online post-traumatic growth training.
