OI Trajectory Completed
iACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS:
I am a structural bodyworker and acupuncturist, and work as a Registered Nurse at the VA Emergency Department. I am dedicated to my own healing and helping to facilitate the healing of others. My current learning edges are Organic Intelligence, learning to facilitate the Wheel of Consent, sharpening by bodywork and acupuncture skills, learning apology work, and most importantly, becoming a better parent, friend, and companion.
I spent about 30 years of my life knowing who I didn't want to be, knowing I didn't want to be "That guy" anymore, the one who rumbled through life like a bull in a China shop, causing casual wreckage in my relationships and not knowing how or why. It took me a very long time to learn that it's not enough to know what I don't want, but that I needed to learn (and move toward) what I do want - how I wanted to show up for my family, my friends, my bodywork clients, and <gulp> myself.
I needed to choose healing, choose love, choose compassion (and self-compassion), and choose environments and communities that would support me on my Post-Trauma Growth trajectory. I left the Army to study and follow my great passion, structural bodywork. After several years of practice, someone I trusted told me I needed to study with Steve and learn (what would become) Organic Intelligence.
Read more +Along the way I got a nursing degree so I could support my bodywork 'habit.' I studied many approaches to helping the body reorganize its structure, including cranial, visceral, perceptual, and energetic bodywork approaches - and I studied yoga and became a yoga instructor. I did Holotropic Breathwork and participated in various indigenous healing ceremonies. I attended Acupuncture school so I could experience the transformation the training offered - and along the way I became an Acupuncturist. I did these activities for my own healing and so that I could facilitate ever more supportive approaches and supportive environments to empower my clients.
Organic Intelligence and the Post-Trauma Growth offered me a framework that enhances the bodywork and acupuncture I offer and allows me to offer OI Coaching in-person or remotely. I am dedicated to offering this work to military and veterans, emergency workers and first responders - I understand the power of this work to help people to reorient to their inherent wholeness. I am also passionate about offering this work to those in healing professions and those who offer or participate in medicine ceremonies - I have learned much about the absolute necessity of self-compassion when doing this work and keeping my own cup full enough to sustainably support others in their work.
