As an OI coach with a specialist expertise in voice and communication, my aim is to help people feel present, empowered and authentic in how they show up in their lives and in their professional and personal relationships, namely through how they communicate. I work with clients on finding their authentic voices, body language, compassionate listening, tools for working with performance anxiety, public speaking and/or social anxiety, building rapport and finding a sense of enjoyable presence, purpose and connection in the communication context. My practice includes a range of body/breathing/voice work that’s all grounded in the container of OI, providing the opportunity for us to address communication issues that are coming up with an understanding of the underlying physiology that allows for all of you to come to the table.
I originally trained and worked as an actor in NYC before getting an MFA in voice & speech coaching in London and going on to certify as an OI coach. I have worked (and continue to freelance) in some of the leading actor training institutions in the UK and bring an appreciation of humans as storytellers into all of the coaching I do, including in executive and public speaking coaching, which I also offer as part of my own brand, Voice what Matters, and as a States-based communication coach for RADA Business in the UK. I currently live just outside of DC in Alexandria, Virginia and work with clients globally online and locally in person.
My clients range from business professionals to actors, activists, artists, teachers and anyone who wants to grow their capacity to navigate the complexities of modern life and who has a curiosity around how to move in a more meaningful direction in their communication, life and work.
