iACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS:
Welcome. I’m glad you found your way here.
I’m a psychotherapist, with several decades of experience supporting people to find greater fulfillment. Early on I teamed up with artists and activists, leading community workshops promoting social change. Later, I was part of community mental health organizations, geared toward the needs of women and children, and gay men and lesbians. For seven years I offered phone counseling through an employee assistance program to thousands of employees on workplace dynamics, and work and family balance. Since 2001 my full-time private practice has included a wide range of individual adults and couples.
Each person’s situation, needs, goals and timing are unique. That’s the starting point for our collaboration.
And I look through these lenses:
Developmental, in seeing challenges as natural opportunities for growth.
Somatic, in honoring the wisdom and rhythms of the body.
Relational, in nurturing bonds that can provide joy, comfort and meaning.
Systemic, in recognizing that structures of power and privilege profoundly affect every aspect of our experience.
Spiritual, in inviting each person’s deepest sources of strength and guidance.
I am excited about integrating experience on every level, from the physical to the metaphysical. Since my discovery of OI in 2018, I’ve delighted in using its many maps and tools to do just that.
I am nourished by daily walks through the river gorge and prairie; relaxing time with loved ones; singing, dancing, and improvisation; and forty years of yoga and meditation. My current meditation community is under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist. My intention to embody the inspiration I’ve received guides me throughout my life.
