Minnesota HEART will be our first HEARTraining® in the MidWest and will be held at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota (Just outside of Minneapolis). HEARTraining is an intermediate level continuing education certificate program consisting of three training years with six, 6-day retreats and ongoing self-learning in the state-of-the-art OI Virtual Classroom. Upon completion of all training requirements, HEARTraining Graduates will receive an OI HEART Certificate. For more details, please visit the HEARTraining Program and Curriculum pages.
35.5 CE Credits will be made available prior to each retreat for the following professions: Psychologists, Marriage & Family Therapists, Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Nurses. It is the student’s responsibility to check with their individual state boards to verify CE requirements for their state. For detailed information visit the CE Credits page. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, a top visitor attraction, is more than 1,200 acres of gardens and tree collections, prairie and woods and miles of trails. As a premier northern garden, the Arboretum was borne out of the University of Minnesota Horticultural Research Center and established in 1958, with the Men’s Garden Club of Minneapolis, Lake Minnetonka Garden Club, Minnesota State Horticultural Society and other community supporters creating the Arboretum as a gift to the University of Minnesota.
Lodging and Commuter Fee
Purchasing a lodging or commuter package is a requirement for the training. Lodging package rates will be released as soon as possible. Contact your training coordinator for more information.
Accommodations for the Differently Abled
Our training facility is handicap accessible. If you need special accommodations please contact your training coordinator.
We will enjoy most meals together onsite. Catering will be provided by the location. We may be able to accommodate special dietary needs if you let us know at least 10 days prior to the start of the training module. Please contact your coordinators if you have special dietary needs.
