I am a Latina woman who grew up in a poverty stricken area with other cultural minorities. Being exposed to crime, lack of resources and systems of injustice, ignited my desire for positive change. As a teen mother I was supposed to become another statistic, instead I empowered myself with healing tools that strengthened resilience and a capacity to create. My programs are an intentional ripple back to those communities offering a stepping stone to shift from overwhelm to empowerment.

As a teen parent, overwhelm caused internal disorganization and repeating cycles of stress. With every yoga practice, meditation, and workshop I learned to insert a pause into those cycles. I saw that every body is equipped with an organizing intellect already pursuing growth. Each interrupted stress cycle was an opportunity for the body's intelligence to succeed.

I started translating what I was learning into self regulation games I could use to teach my own children. Beginning with a small in home programs, I grew to serve a larger population of youth through schools and community outreach. Today I author and develop social emotional curriculum taught in schools and community service organizations, host workshops and work with youth in one on one coaching.

Programs are designed to be a partner in your parenting journey. While no one can do the work for you, you don't have to do it alone. Parent in partnership because it really does take a village.
